KARACHI: Newly elected MNA and scholar Dr. Amir Liaquat Hussain went all Maula Jatt on PTI’s local party leadership. As Imran Ismail, the newly sworn-in governor, did not invite him to a meeting of all MNA’s and MPA’s.

He furiously addressed the issue and said it was done on purpose. At first, he took it to Twitter and wrote an annoyed tweet about how he was being targeted. He accused the local leadership of alleged discrimination.

In his tweet, he used the infamous dialogue of former President Asif Ali Zardari. ‘Is trha to hota hai, is trha k kamo mai” he wrote.

Later, Liaquat told media that Governor house is still very much functional. The local leadership is still conducting discussion sessions and meetings there. Although the party speaks a-lot about simplicity. And had initially refused to utilize governor’s house as a stance of denying protocol culture.

Liaquat accused the party of not accepting him and considering him an outsider. ‘I won’t accept any ministry, even if I am offered one’ he claimed.

He said that despite his many attempts, he was unable to contact Imran Khan and invite him to Karachi. He voiced his concerns about Khan alleged hesitation to visit Quaid’s tomb. Why did he not laid a floral wreath at Quaid’s mausoleum? He inquired.

Amir Liaquat Hussain will call a press conference anytime soon. He said ‘I will announce my decision before the 4th of September. Whether I will sit on the government benches or opposition benches.’

In response to all the allegations by Amir Liaquat Hussain, Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf’s spokesperson Azhar Laghari tweeted. He said ‘people of Karachi Love Imran Khan tremendously. Any PTI representative, elected from Karachi, can not deny the fact that people voted for Imran Khan, not for any other individual.’

Later, at his official Twitter account, he denied giving any statement about voters voting for him and not Imran Khan. He accused the local tv channel of sabotaging his statement.

In response to a fan’s angry retweet, he said ‘he stands by his statement.’

It is a matter of time until Liaquat calls a press conference again. Let’s see which way the camel sits.
