Pakistan’s 16-member squad for upcoming Asia cup has been announced. Chief Selector Inzamam-ul-Haq announced the names of players. Asia Cup 2018 is starting from 15th of this month in UAE. Muhammad Hafeez fails to become part of the team. Shan Masood has been given a chance this time, instead. Talking to media regarding his selection, former Pakistan Team Captain told that Shan was preferred due to his consistent performance in domestic circuit. Hafeez is part of his plan for the world cup. He should not get disappointed and work hard instead. Talking about Imad Wasim, Chief Selector told that only those players are allowed in the team who are fit enough. He conditioned Imad’s selection and of the rest of the players with their fitness. Kamran Akmal again fails to become part of the side. Talking to media he expressed his frustration about his non-inclusion.

Fakhar Zaman, Imam-ul-Haq, Shan Masood, Babar Azam, Shoaib Malik, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Asif Ali, Haris Sohail, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Nawaz, Faheem Ashraf, Hasan Ali, M. Amir, Junaid Khan, Usman Shinwair, Shaheen Afridi.

Asia Cup is starting from 15th of September in UAE. Inaugral match will be played between Srilanka and Bangladesh. In addition to the four regular sides, Afghanistain will also take part in the tournament. The tournament was due to held in Pakistan. However, absence of International cricket due to security reasons has forced the tournament to be transferred to UAE. India will be defending their trophy this time. The biggest game of tournament between Pakistan and India will held on 19th of September at Dubai Cricket Stadium. The tickets of the match were sold within few hours as this is the most anticipated cricket match with viewers over 1.5 billion. Virat Kohli, the current Indian captain has been rested for the competition. Instead, Rohit Sharma will be captaining the side.
