Belgian King Strongly Condemns Serious Human Rights Abuses In Gaza

Innocent people are dying of hunger and being subjected to bombing

Belgian King Philip has strongly condemned the situation in Gaza as a shame for humanity.

According to the World News Agency, Belgium’s King Philip generally separates himself from the world’s political affairs and does not overcome any conflict.

However, the king of Belgium has now issued an extraordinary statement regarding Gaza, regardless of his royal position and traditions and on the important occasion of the country’s national day.

Addressing the royal palace in Brussels, King Philip said, “I am involved in all the voices that are condemning serious human rights abuses in Gaza where innocent people are starving, suffering from bombing and trapped in the area.”

He added that this worsening situation of the war has become very long. It is a shame for humanity. I support the UN Secretary -General’s demand that this unbearable crisis be eliminated immediately.

For the first time, such a strong and harsh statement by King Philip on an international conflict has emerged. This statement comes at a time when the Belgian federal government is generally taking a relatively cautious stand on the Gaza crisis.

Remember that Israel has been bombing Gaza since October 2023, in which more than 60,000 Palestinians have been martyred and more than one million injured.

Israel invaded not only Gaza but Lebanon, Iran and Syria. Nuclear scientists, including Hamas, Hezbollah’s entire leadership and senior Iranian commanders, were martyred in the attacks.
