RIYADH: Prime Minister Khan says we will always stand with Saudi Arabia whenever it faces difficult times.

In an interview with a Saudi newspaper, he said Pakistan will not allow anyone to attack Saudi Arabia and assured it full support.

He made this statement while responding a question that, “the Houthi militias have been regularly firing missiles toward Saudi Arabia. They even tried to attack the Haram. Will your government respond if there is an attack on Saudi Arabia which has the Two Holy Mosques?”

The Prime Minister said Saudi Arabia always helped Pakistan when it has been in a need.

He said Pakistan has tremendous opportunities of investments. And after completion of China Pakistan Economic Corridor. It will have more potential than other countries in this region.

About war on terror, Imran Khan said Pakistan’s economy suffered a loss of 100 billion dollars. While thousands of Pakistanis martyred in this war.

The prime minister said Pakistan wants peace and stability in the region.

He said Pakistan has already a very good relationship with China. And we need a good relationship with Afghanistan and India as well.

Regarding the ongoing crises in Libya, Somalia and Syria, the Prime Minister said Saudi Arabia is a pivotal country in the Muslim world. And can play a big part in ending these conflicts.

Imran Khan said Pakistan, which also suffered a lot, will like to play a role of reconciliator to bring Muslim world together. He also praised the anti-corruption drive of the Saudi government.

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia on Wednesday reaffirmed their intention to stand by each other at all times, expressed their desire to further enhance and diversify bilateral cooperation and to continue close coordination on issues of mutual interest.

Based on their decades’ old fraternal ties, both the countries expressed complete solidarity with each other in their efforts at preserving their sovereignty and territorial integrity said a statement issued by Foreign Office at the conclusion of the two-day state visit of Prime Minister Imran Khan to Saudi Arabia.
