US Designates Bla And Majeed Brigade As Terrorist Organizations
BLA and Majeed Brigade attack innocent civilians, security forces and infrastructure in Pakistan
The US has officially designated the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and its affiliate Majeed Brigade as foreign terrorist organizations.
According to the World News Agency, the US State Department statement made it clear that this decision is a continuation of the fact that the US will not be lenient in the face of terrorism.
The US State Department statement said that the BLA and Majeed Brigade have claimed responsibility for several deadly violent attacks in Pakistan.
The statement said that in these attacks, the BLA and Majeed Brigade targeted innocent civilians, security forces and critical infrastructure.
A spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry said that the BLA and its affiliate Majeed Brigade have claimed responsibility for several high-profile attacks that resulted in severe loss of life.
The statement further said that disciplinary action against the attacks by the BLA and Majeed Brigade is essential for global security.
The statement said that both groups are using militancy as a weapon, which is increasing instability in the region.
After the US declares a group a terrorist, their assets in the US are frozen.
In addition, any financial or material cooperation with such organizations and individuals is considered illegal.
Similarly, it becomes a legal crime for US citizens to contact or provide assistance to these groups.
It should be remembered that the BLA had claimed responsibility for the attacks on Karachi International Airport and Gwadar Port Complex.
Similarly, the BLA had admitted its involvement in the attack on the Jaffar Express in 2023, in which 31 people were martyred and more than 300 people were taken hostage.
These attacks were not only national tragedies for Pakistan but were seen as a new wave of terrorism worldwide.
Experts say that the US designation of the BLO and the Majeed Brigade as terrorist organizations will deal a serious blow to the international networks of these groups and will provide global support for Pakistan’s counter-terrorism efforts.
